Decorating with Red, White and Blue...can be as easy as a silver pitcher with white roses and a mini flag...
...or as complex as mixing six or more patterns together.
Many times we see red, white and blue in a country or rustic feeling room...but if that's not your style...how about a French Country feel.
Country French or French Country blends old and new, mixes many fabric patterns and blends casual and elegant together in a comfortable and sophisticated way. It is a warm and welcoming look with a bit more sophistication and formality than the typical rustic or country style.
Imagine these chairs with brilliant blue floral patterned pillows...and a pretty blue throw on the end of the bed!

Love how you have shown us to think beyond the country rustic Americana look. Thanks Kathleen!
I love me some French Country. And it doesn't hurt if it's red, either!
Gorgeous pictures. Such wonderful eye candy and inspiration. Love it. Hugs, Marty
Did you paint the hydrangeas on the table top? Very pretty.
Your rooms are amazing.
Your roses, silver pitcher & flag are beautiful and I LOVE your drapes!!! ☺ Diane
Oh Kathleen, what great photos! I like how you make us think outside of the box. French country is one of my favorites and the blue would just make that room pop.
Have a great 4th!

Kathleen, that would be so pretty! Enjoyed looking at all the shots in this post. Lovely!
Happy Fourth of July!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Yummy eye candy, happy 4th of July!
All of these rooms have such visual interest with the patterns. Red is one of my favorite colors to decorate with! So many people are afraid to mix all of them together and try are too matchy matchy. Great!

Yes! There are those white bookcases! lol Loved your reply! Thanks for making me smile! I sure needed it! I had my 4 grandchildren for 12 hour a day, I am exhausted! Too much of a good thing! lol
I love the rooms! The chairs in the last photo..oh my goodness! They are to die for...!
My geraniums are doing well (I thought they'd be dead by now)but I have to try and keep the mosquitos away from them. I've noticed that our neighbors plants have started to grow some kind of cob webby looking stuff on their flowers and plants. We are having to ration water here in San Antonio but we can hand water (with a hose) so I'm wondering if people are just not wanting to go outside and water their lawn and gardens...how sad to lose all of those wonderful flowers.
Have a great Fourth of July!

Hey Kathleen!
Love this post and your last tablescape! Alot of folks think you can't have elegance on the 4th but you have proven that you CAN! I love the way you layered your table - stunning!
I've missed reading your posts while I've been away - glad to be back home! See ya soon. :-)
